Newly crowned bass music heavyweight Peekaboo released his EP last summer, with it a new style of cutting edge bass music burst into popularity. Riding the lines between trap and dubstep, Peekaboo’s debut EP ushered in a new wave of bass music and bass imposters alike. Since then, I have listened to many tracks that try to mimic Peekaboo’s unique sound or at least resemble it. Few impressed, most failed to get that sound and feeling, enter newcomer Prosecute. Prosecute has one song released at the time of this post it resembles the best of any Peekaboo song while maintaining its own unique sound. With a slow eerie build up, it then drops into a dark sub bass filled drop that rides the lines of the dub and trap genres. It is a great journey for any basshead willing to press play.
