Today we are featuring an awesomely talented producer by the name of Oni. From Philadelphia, Arnab Nandi or Oni has releases on some great labels such as Jadu Dala and is also the co-founder of his own imprint Corrupt Audio. I first came across Oni on Soundcloud by way of his Mr. Brown VIP which is an absolute heater. The track effortlessly weaves energetic Busta Rhymes samples through a glitched-out halftime bass journey. Oni has a diverse array of tracks on his Soundcloud from dubstep, to trap, and even house music, and you can see the progression throughout. His most recent song is a great Drum n’ Bass track titled Ben’s Song. I love that Oni samples the great late Richie Havens, who passed much too soon in the Buddy Holly crash, before going into a frenzy with a blast of Drum n Bass. Oni has been on a tear with his recent releases and I’m sure 2020 has big things in store for him. Check out my favorite tracks below and give the man a follow!
